Eveline Cecil is derived from a beautiful blend of Old Hollywood glamour and the ease of the 90’s. We value clean silhouettes with a hint of romance.
Eveline Cecil started with a desire for headware that is not only versatile and practical, but also luxurious and romantic. We want our customers to be able to throw on a headpiece with a tailored suit just as easily as they would with jeans and a t-shirt.
There is an Italian word that first appears in Baldassare Castiglione’s “The Book of the Courtier”. This word is sprezzatura. The author defines sprezzatura as a certain nonchalance, so as to conceal all art and make whatever one does or says appear to be without effort and almost without any thought about it. As a company, we identify with the idea of trying not to try, or the studied carelessness of sprezzatura, and therefore strive to embody it.
